One of the best Polish films of recent years – awarded at festivals in Locarno, Chicago or Lisbon – tells the story of an unusual family. Unusual, but nonetheless real. ‚The Last Family’ is based on authentic recordings made by the Beksinski family. Zdzisław (Andrzej Seweryn) is a iconic painter whose works reveal his fascination with death, decay, and horror. His son Tomek (Dawid Ogrodnik), a translator and radio presenter, has similarly dark interests. Among them is Zofia (Aleksandra Konieczna) – mother and wife, trying to sew a dark family. The screening of ‚The Last Family’ will be an opportunity to meet the director of the film Jan P. Matuszyński, who is a great hope of Polish cinematography.
GUEST: Jan P. Matuszyński – director of the movie.
