A new season of Polish Cinema for Beginners project is here, and we’re inviting you to be part of its workshop program! After an incredible seasons 2023 & 2024, we are ready to take you again for the Polish film focused journey!
Exploring Polish Cinema of the 21st Century
This year, we focus on films created in or reflecting on the first 25 years of the 21st century. Together, we will explore stories that define modern Poland – its transformations, challenges, and evolving cultural identity. From award-winning dramas to groundbreaking indie productions, we will dive into the key cinematic moments of the past two decades.
Workshop Program: Learn & Create
Are you passionate about films? Do you want to learn how to curate screenings, organize cultural events, and shape the local cultural scene? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
As a member of Class of 2025, you will:
✔️ Be a part of our team and visit with us radio and other media to speak about your experience and chosen screening program!
✔️ Take part in workshops where you will develop skills in programming, event management, and audience engagement.
✔️ Design a screening program, focusing on Polish films. For the entire year under the guidance of experienced tutors from Wrocław Film Foundation.
✔️ Co-create additional activities, such as film quizzes, concerts, or meetings with directors – your ideas matter!
✔️ Attend film screenings and engage in discussions about Polish cinema – also with special guests.
No prior experience is needed! The workshops will be conducted in English to ensure accessibility for all participants. You don’t have to be an expert in English or Polish language, nor Polish cinema – all you need is curiosity and enthusiasm!
Open Call for Participants
To join, simply fill out a short form telling us about your favorite films and your motivation for participating. It only takes a few minutes! Once the call is closed, we will select a group of participants who will actively shape Class of 2025.
Key Dates:
Open Call: 11.02 – 28.02
Results Announcement: 4.03 (via e-mail / phone so make sure to leave your contact in the form!)
Workshops: March-December 2025 (circa 8 meetings)
